As travelers ourselves, we know how important it is to have time to explore on our own or check off bucket list items that you’ve seen on social media! We allocate free time in each city to allow you time to do other things outside of the included activities. There is so much to do in Tokyo so if there are bigger activities like Disney Sea or Mario Kart racing, we suggest arriving a day early to be sure you have time to include these.
-
We suggest a small suitcase that won’t hold you up while exploring Japan. Since we are taking public transport throughout the trip, packing as light as possible is best.
-
Train transport from city to city is included for your trip however, local transport within each city to the different activities and during your free time is not included. However, we use local transport which is extremely affordable!
-
We will meet at 6pm on day 1 for a welcome briefing and welcome dinner so keep this in mind when booking your flights. Take into account that you must go through immigration and then take transport to the hostel.
️If you’re planning to fly out of Tokyo back home, then we recommend flying any time after 5pm. Getting to Tokyo takes around 4 hours on the train and 1 hour to the airport from there.
️If you’re wanting to fly out of Osaka, we recommend booking your flight anytime after 10am.
-
We’ll do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions whenever possible, but due to the nature of Japan’s cuisine and dining customs, it may not be feasible in every situation. Please inform us of your needs in advance and we will do our best to find options where we can.

Travelers are responsible for ensuring their passport is valid for at least six months beyond the trips start date.

Japan is an incredible mix of ancient traditions and modern city life, but this trip is fast-paced and packed with adventure! If you prefer slow travel or lots of downtime, this might not be the best fit.
This trip includes a lot of walking—whether it’s exploring neon-lit streets, wandering through historic temples, or hiking up to breathtaking viewpoints. You should be comfortable walking several miles a day, sometimes with stairs or inclines.
Japan’s public transport system is world-class but also fast and efficient, meaning you’ll need to be ready to hop on and off trains, subways, and buses. If navigating transport in a foreign country feels overwhelming, don’t worry—we’ll guide you through it!
If you’re a foodie, this trip is a dream—from sushi and ramen to quirky themed cafés. But be prepared to try new things, as some menus might not have English translations.
This trip blends cultural experiences, city exploration, and nature, making it perfect for travelers who love variety, excitement, and a little bit of organized chaos. If that sounds like you—get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
